About us
Maple Casinos is an independent information site about online casinos available to players in Canada. Our angle is the part that decides whether a site is usable at all: the licence it holds, the provinces it accepts, and what the cashier does with Canadian dollars.
Why licence and province come first
Canada has no single national market. Each province decides for itself: provincial operators run their own sites, Ontario has a regulated market with its own registered operators, and a large number of international sites accept Canadian players under a foreign licence. Those three situations give a player very different footing when a payout is refused. So every page here starts with which of the three a site belongs to, long before the welcome offer.
What we check
- The licence and who holds it. The register that issued it, the exact company name and whether the entry is current. The brand on the website and the licence holder are often two different names.
- Provinces accepted and excluded. A province missing from the terms does not become accepted just because registration happens to work.
- Currency and cashier. Whether the balance is held in Canadian dollars or converted, which methods exist for withdrawals and not only deposits, and what conversion or fees cost you.
- Withdrawal limits. Per transaction and per period. A weekly cap spreads a large win across weeks, no matter how fast each payment is.
- Identity verification. Which documents are requested and whether the check can be completed before the first withdrawal rather than after it.
- Where a complaint goes. The dispute body the operator names, and whether it can be reached without opening an account first.
How we work
We start from licence registers and the operator's own terms, and only then look at promotional pages. Where the two disagree, we say so. Anything visible only behind a logged-in account is marked as unverified instead of assumed. Every figure carries a date, because limits and province lists change without notice.
What we do not do
We promise no winnings, sell no strategies and publish no predictions. We do not sell placement in a list and we do not remove a critical passage on request. Payment at a casino is between you and the operator; we never handle money.
